Remember the stories about ASWANG told to us by our elder folks when we were little kids back in the Philippines? Re-live them once again in this grand theatrical piece under the Directorship of no other than “Direk” Ramon Castillanes Teñoso.

A series of recent killings in streets of London are being investigated by Scotland Yard. Four bodies were found, victims have their stomachs cut open, internal organs missing, many were left with fear and questions who the perpetrator was.

With so much details left unknown, Ernst De Vega, a social anthropologist and Oxford professor with forensic scientist Dr George Musgrove and Commissioner Newbery, must find who the killer was before its too late.

This autumn, Philippine Theatre UK presents ASWANG (The Birth of Malum).

The story of ASWANG has been embedded deeply in Philippine folklore.Philippine Theatre UK has given the Filipino community the medium of passing this heritage to the next generation of Pinoys.
